Ever since I was little and got bad sunburns I would get a fever blister afterwards. I know these things have all kinds of causes and they are very embarrassing, but I have found a cheap effective cure.
When you feel the tingling, start putting straight distilled white vinegar on the spot and do it every hour or so. The blister will not even form if you get it early enough, or it will dry up very, very quickly and the whole thing will be over from start to finish in about a week (less than half of the time it usually takes).
I have also tried tea tree oil and it definitely helped, only I later found out that I should have added a bit of olive oil to it to dilute it. I can't say that that it is effective yet though, as I went right back to the vinegar.

This is good to know. I too suffer from fever blisters. I get them after a sundurn, during that time of the month, upset stomach, I got them alot in a few of my pregnancies as well. I've used that expensive little tube of ABREVA in the past with success, but about a month ago I got a bad sunburn & fever blisters that follwed and used the ABREVA right away & it didn't help like it had in the past. Thanks for the tip.
It works on zits too. I get them occasionally because I have rosacea and it zaps them right away.
Yeah, I used Abreva too and I had the same experience where it didn't work the same way the second time which is why I tried the vinegar. But I have used the vinegar three times now and it works great.
Many Blessings :)
